Lenses recommendations for your prescriptions

and actually, it is also about the frame sizes

Congratulations on obtaining your new prescription from your optician! Now comes the question: what are the ideal lenses and frames that perfectly complement your prescription?

We understand the challenges when it comes to selecting the most suitable lenses and frames. With our professional tips, we aim to empower you with the knowledge to make confident decisions tailored to your vision requirements.

When it comes to lenses, higher refractive index (the numbers 1.5, 1.6, or 1.67 that you might have seen) offers a slimmer and more appealing look on eyeglasses. But remember, the right frame size matters just as much! The thickness at the edge of your lenses can change depending on the frame you choose.

If your prescription is over -6.00, that thickness becomes more noticeable. If you are strongly near-sighted, we recommend going for smaller frame sizes or round frame to keep the edge thickness to a minimum.

With your clear vision and stylish comfort in mind, we've prepared an informative table to assist you in finding the perfect eyewear solution. We have meticulously curated a comprehensive table that outlines lens recommendations for a range of prescriptions, all based on a widely popular 52mm eyeglass frame.

Which lenses should I choose for my frame?

Prescriptions Small or circular frame Big frame
0 to -2.00 1.5 / 1.56 1.56 / 1.6
-2.00 to -6.00 1.56 / 1.6 1.6 / 1.67
-6.00 to -8.00 1.6 / 1.67 1.67 / 1.74 / 1.76
-8.00 to -10.00 1.74 / 1.76 Not recommended
over -10.00 1.74 / 1.76 Not recommended

For prescriptions surpassing -8.00, we suggest considering a more petite frame size, specifically in the range of 46-48mm. We want to ensure your lenses seamlessly merge with the frame, resulting in a polished and refined look, with no protruding of the thick edge at all.

Our lens start from 1.6. better for daily life. Thinner, physically stronger, break resistant.
